Lots of “Action” in the Comments Section
Posted by Richard S. on February 18, 2008
Well, I wouldn’t exactly call it action, but I’ve delved into extended commentary and debate in the comments section of the last post. I did a similar thing, in a different way, in the comments section for my comments on the Rolling Stone article on Brad Will. (I know, that looks a bit confusing, but how else to I describe it?) I’m choosing to keep these debates in the comments sections because I don’t have the inclination, time or energy to focus the main part of the blog on these lengthy discussions - i.e., making the debates within the comments sections into regular posts (as I might once have done) might invite a little too much more of the same.
I wrote a longer post ruminating over the condition and fate of the main sections of the posts in this blog but I decided to delete most of that - probably sparing a lot of people a bit of hardship on the eyes…

Thanks, Xpig. I thought it needed a pretty big change from the prior format - which works great for my music blog but seemed to be getting a bit out of hand here. Glad you’re still stopping by, by the way.

Hey Richard! Just wanted to let all my old blogging comrades know I was back with a new blog. I really like the new look of the site, hope to hear from you soon!

Hi, Gavin. Thanks, I’ve been looking at your new blog a little too.
It was interesting to see that two more people have taken the Mr. Fish tip from ChuckO… I put one of those cartoons on my “music blog.”
That other blog is where I’ve been spending more of my time… It might not appeal to everyone who reads this one, and it’s not connected to my radical/anarchist/leftist history (and all the related scenes I’ve dealt with) the way this one has been. But that’s a deliberate choice, and it’s probably why I’m having a better time over there. (It is nice to have a change once in a while, as you know.)
Anyway, meant to get back to you sooner but haven’t been here as much…
